Why We Started Highland Stables Social Club

There is something about adulthood that no one really prepares you for.

Somewhere between careers, motherhood, relationships, responsibilities, and trying to keep up with everyday life, genuine connection can start to feel harder to find. Making friends as an adult looks different than it used to. Slowing down feels rare. And too often, women are carrying the weight of everyone else while forgetting to pour back into themselves.

That is part of the reason we created Highland Stables Social Club.

At Highland Stables in Bowling Green, Kentucky, we have always believed in creating spaces that feel welcoming, meaningful, and full of life. Over the years through weddings, events, and GypsyMoon Marketplace, we saw something consistently. Women were craving connection.

Not perfection. Not pressure. Just connection.

We wanted to create nights where women could come exactly as they are. A place where someone could show up with their best friends, their mom, coworkers, sisters, or even come alone and still feel comfortable the moment they walked in.

That became the heart behind Highland Stables Social Club.

Our events are designed to feel intentional, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyable. Every experience is different, but the goal is always the same. To create an atmosphere where women can laugh, unwind, try something new, and leave feeling a little lighter than when they arrived.

Some nights look like cocktail making classes and sing alongs. Other nights include garden workshops, boutique shopping, yoga, bingo, wine, food trucks, or seasonal outdoor experiences under the Kentucky sky. We mix creativity, fun, local businesses, and community together in a way that feels approachable and welcoming for all ages and stages of life.

But what matters most to us is not just the event itself. It is how people feel during it.

One of our favorite things is hearing women say, “I needed this.”

That is why we continue creating these nights.

Highland Stables Social Club is about more than events. It is about community. It is about giving women something to look forward to. It is about supporting local businesses, highlighting local charities, and creating experiences that help people reconnect both with others and with themselves.
