Founded in August 2024, St. Gianna Crisis Pregnancy Home’s has as its mission to offer safe housing and spiritual and practical support for homeless pregnant women in crisis situations- all at no cost to the women served. Expectant mothers are welcomed regardless of their religious beliefs, socio-economic status, ethnicity, familial status, or geographical location. Participants can come at any stage of their pregnancy and stay up to eight months post-delivery while caring for their baby. The women, if physically able, are required to be looking for a job, working, or pursuing an education. Each has a mentor that helps her navigate the job or school admission process. Life skill classes on topics such as parenting, fire safety in the home, resume writing are provided on and off site. 

St. Gianna CPH can accommodate up to six women and their babies. The home is currently serving three amazing women and one baby. Seventeen women haveparticipated in the program, with fourteen graduating. Ten beautiful babies have been born while their moms stayed in the home. Some reconciled with their families after their loved ones saw the positive changes the women were making in their lives after being at St. Gianna’s. Our staff has connected over 100 other women in crisis pregnancies with vital community resources.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit and rely solely on donations from individual donors, businesses, churches, and grants for funding.  No government funds are accepted. There are only two paid positions within the ministry- our House Manager and Evening Home Monitor. All other services are provided by volunteers. The program costs approximately $180,000 a year when at full capacity. Funds are also used to offer scholarships to participants to ease their transition to independent living. The women who have successfully completed the program and written an essay on how the home impacted their lives are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
